Yemen is the home of some dangerous and annoying areas. The spawn point is inside the structure in the center of the map facing Siege Area B. Further references will be made with respect to this point. For example, the Gold Rush chest is in the back and Idol A on the front-right side.

Similar to the structure of the Chateau's survival rounds, there's one main Survival Area A (Pic. 2.) covering the center of the map right outside of the building you'll spawn in. It is greatly populated and enemies will come from all sides so it can be quite dangerous, but it's by far the best place to stay at if you're in a good team and want to finish the round quickly.
The complex architecture of this map will allow you to choose many safe vantage points. You can climb the ladder on the left wall of the building in the front, stay close to the stairs on the right side, go up the stairs on the left side or use the short underground passage under the building in the front, if necessary.

Although you could stay in the first area for the whole duration of a Survival round, you may want to go to the Survival Area B (Pic. 3.) when only 10 kills are left. Enemies will spawn there close to the Gold Rush chest and you can quickly end the round instead of waiting for them in Area A. You could even delegate one (good) player there right at the beginning of a Survival round which should speed up the process or, to be on the safe side, let him stay on the roof of the center building in which you spawn from where he can kill enemies coming from the back.

Siege Area A (Pic. 4.) is inside the building you spawn in. Even though it's marked at the bottom part of this structure, kills from the roof will count.
It is a quite annoying area, though. If you stay inside the building, you'll need to shoot through the "windows" and wait for the enemies to come. If you go on top of this building, you will have limited visibility and line of fire on the Survival Area A, but will be able to kill enemies coming from the back. That said, the optimal solution is to split your team and have at least one player on the roof.

Siege Area B (Pic. 5.) is right in the middle of Survival Area A which makes it a dangerous place to be, but it's by far the most "comfortable" one out of the three Siege Areas on this map. It's open which gives you clear lines of fire, but this comes for a price - you will have almost no place to take cover without leaving the zone (except for the area behind the pillars on the right hand edge of the siege zone, which can be very useful when playing on Crushing difficulty).
For that reason, there's not much room to strategize either. This area will test your shooting skills and reflexes. If all players are fast and accurate, you won't have many issues here.

Siege Area C (Pic. 6.) was for some time the most annoying Siege Area in the whole game - it was located and the top of the front-right structure and it took forever to complete a Siege round up there. Luckily, it has been moved and now it covers a decent amount of ground floor up to where one of the set of stairs leads to the Gold Rush chest.
Kills from the elevated structure will count towards the round goal so it's recommended that at least one player would stay up there for the duration of the round. Enemies will come from all directions since this area is located between both Survival areas, but even on ground level, there are many places where you can take cover. You can also use the opening between the crates on the front-right side of this area and the "hole" on the front-left side to see incoming enemies from the Survival Area A.

The chest in Yemen (Pic. 7.) is at the back of the map close to the enemy spawn points (Survival Area B) active during Gold Rush. You can get there only from two sides which are clearly separated from each other so in dangerous situations you can lure the enemies to one side and transport the idol through the other side.
Pic. 7. Yemen - Chest
There are 2 idol spawn points on this map. Idol A (Pic. 8.) is on the front-right side with respect to your main spawn point. When this idol spawns, your teammates could concentrate fire on the back-left side luring enemies there while you transport the treasure through the right side, closest to its spawn point which should be quite safe.
Pic. 8. Yemen - Idol A
Idol B (Pic. 9.) spawns on the front-left side up on the roof of a building. Once you climb up there, simply throw it down at the foot of the stairway where a teammate could pick it up. The default path to transport this idol would be: up the stairs, throw it through the window of the building you'll end up in so that it lands at the foot of the next stairway (at this point you can quickly pick up the Mag 5 to your right after jumping through the window) and at this point you have to choose to either continue up the stairs where your teammates have lured the enemies during the Idol A spawn or choose the Idol A route. This decision needs to be made judging by how dangerous each path is at this moment.

It is highly recommended that the team stick together on the second idol run during late-stage Gold Rush so that the enemies do not gather right around the treasure chest. This is especially true for round 7 as the long distance of the Gold Rush runs on this map pretty much guarantee that PAKman will spawn close to the chest during the second run. You will definitely want to avoid that.
